Experience Rural Ministry in East and North Yorkshire

Experience Rural Ministry in East and North Yorkshire

Are you ready to answer the call to rural ministry from Viking villages to the Howardian Hills?

The Diocese of York includes the East and much of North Yorkshire - an area which is home to 1.4 million people. Our diocese extends from the Tees to the Humber, including the cities of York and Hull, as well as Middlesbrough, Selby, the incomparable Yorkshire coast and two National Parks.

Come and join us in the fantastic communities of rural North and East Yorkshire, surrounding the historic city of York, with our glorious Minster, famous walls and winding medieval streets. From baptisms in local rivers to Thankful Villages, we welcome you!

Two Day Experience Programme

Interested in rural ministry with us?  You are invited to join Sarah Bullock, the Archdeacon of York, for a two-day Experience Programme.

The event takes place across Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March 2019, and offers a programme of activities which provide a chance to meet people and get a taste of life in the communities where we have clerical vacancies.

All travel from York, meals and accommodation are provided.

Closing date to book on the Experience Programme is 28 February
