We offer competitive salaries which are benchmarked against similar organisations and are reviewed regularly. All employees on NCI payscales working in London receive a minimum of the London Living Wage.
The NCI’s offer a generous non-contributory pension scheme and non-clergy employees are automatically enrolled in the Church Administrators Pension Fund (CAPF) unless they choose to opt out. The NCI’s will contribute between 8-15% of you salary (depending upon your age at the time of joining the scheme). You can also make additional voluntary contributions which the organisation will match up to the value of a further 3%. We offer what we feel is a market leading package when it comes to your pension package.
The National Church Institutions have an income protection insurance arrangement. To be eligible for cover under this policy an employee must be a member of the CAPF/DC section.
Our annual leave entitlement starts at 25 days per year plus bank holidays and increases with service. In addition, employees are given three extra NCI concessionary days to be taken at designated times throughout the year. Part time staff receive a pro rata entitlement. Our holiday year runs from 1st January to 31st December.
In addition to statutory leave we provide a range of enhanced leave and/or pay arrangements for staff through our maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave schemes.
In many of our roles and where possible operationally we offer a range of flexible working arrangements. Requests from all employees with the required length of service will be considered.
The NCI’s offers a confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) service which gives access to services such as counselling, financial advice, legal guidance and other support services, free of charge.
Across the NCIs we understand the value of developing our employees’ skills and knowledge. We offer sponsored study arrangements for staff seeking required professional qualifications and often offer some funding for non essential study that contributes to professional development. Find out more about learning and development at the NCIs.
All employees are covered under the life assurance policy for four times their annual salary.
We offer employees interest-free season ticket loans for rail and bus travel.
All NCI staff are entitled to a regular eye test voucher and contribution towards lenses if required.
Cycle to Work Scheme
We offer Cyclescheme.co.uk to employees providing the opportunity to save between 30-40% off the cost of a new bike.
