In 2015 we embarked on a culture change programme to help us work together, across the NCIs, to improve the way people and teams work with each other, our operational efficiency, our capacity to lead and manage, and the overall employee experience.
Much of what we’re seeing today at the NCIs in terms of success can be traced back to the decisions we made a couple of years ago to place collaboration at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s our growth in our digital presence; the increase in the number of women training for priesthood; or the launch of new services like our careers service for the Church of England.
Underpinning all of this are our people values which have helped to frame the behaviours we expect of ourselves, and from each other:
- Excellence: We take pride in doing a good job
- Integrity: We are trustworthy
- Respect: We treat everyone with dignity
You’ll find jobs here that you might not expect to find, and you’ll find jobs that simply don’t exist anywhere else. Somewhere were people of Christian faith, other faiths, and of no faith, work side-by-side to support the Church of England. There’s no other place like it.
